CHARLEY PRIDE AND ROZENE – 63 YEARS
The musician, singer, and guitarist was also a professional baseball player once upon a time. He reached the apex of success in the 70s and etched his name as the best-selling performer after none other than the iconic Elvis Presley.
Charley happens to be one of those handfuls of African-Americans who has made it big in the genre of country music. The Country Music Hall of Famer is also a minority owner the Major League Baseball side, the Texas Rangers.
He came across Rozene when he was busy playing professional baseball. They soon fell in love and became man and wife in 1956. They have two sons and currently lead quite an affluent lifestyle at their nest in Dallas, Texas. Pride’s son, Carlton, has followed his dad’s footsteps and is known as a well-acclaimed artist.
