BARBARA MANDRELL AND KEN DUDNEY – 52 YEARS
Nicknamed “The Sweetheart of Steel”, the country music star entertained us with many hit singles such as I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool, and Till You’re Gone, among others.
She had been the first performer who was awarded the Entertainer of the Year title by the Country Music Association twice in 1980 and 1981. She retired from performing in 2000 and has been spending the rest of her life with her better half.
Barbara and her husband, Ken Dudney, have been enjoying conjugal bliss for the last 52 years. Her dad took Ken on board to play as a drummer for the Mandrell Family Band. Both Dudney, 21 and Barbara, 14 were quite young then. However, that was never a factor as the duo fell head over heels in love with each other. After more than half a century, everything is just the same, and the romance has never died!
